    Summary

    <!–mep-nl–>

    Under the direct supervision of the Vice President, this position provides accounting and administrative support. In addition to bookkeeping, spreadsheet creation and maintenance, performs duties such as record keeping, reporting, and working on special projects. Also, answers non-routine inquiries and assembles confidential information. Deals with a diverse group of external client calls and visitors as well as internal contacts at all levels of the organization. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload, and recommends changes in office practices or procedures.

    Essential Functions

    <!–mep-nl–><ol><!–mep-nl–><li>Performs routine accounting functions in Quickbooks such as invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, journal entries and general ledger inquiries </li><!–mep-nl–><li>Requires basic knowledge of accrual accounting for month-end and year-end closing procedures. </li><!–mep-nl–><li>Creates and prepares monthly management reports in Microsoft Word and Excel.</li><!–mep-nl–><li>Able to organize and prioritize daily, weekly and monthly procedures. </li><!–mep-nl–><li>Provides various levels of administrative support to management team members.</li><!–mep-nl–><li>Will be required to occasionally staff reception area and answer phones.</li><!–mep-nl–><li>Works independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects.</li><!–mep-nl–></ol><!–mep-nl–><!–mep-nl–>

    Work Environment

    This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

    Physical Demands

    <!–mep-nl–>

    This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.

    Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

    This is a part-time position. Days and hours of work are flexible Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.

    Required Education and Experience

    <!–mep-nl–><ul><li>Associate’s degree.</li><!–mep-nl–><li>Four years of related experience. </li><!–mep-nl–></ul><!–mep-nl–>
